  • Read the terms and conditions carefully before accepting any offers and purchasing goods on the internet
  • Do not give out your personal information such as credit card details and online baking accounts.
  • Do not pay upfront if you are required to do so; it may be a scam.
  • Do not reply to text messages you receive from unfamiliar numbers. Check with your mobile phone company if you receive any suspicious looking text messages or phone calls.
  • It is advisable that you contact the Securities Commission(SC) to ensure that you only invest with party licensed by them.
  • Do your homework; compile as much information as you can about the website you are viewing and the trader you are planning to buy goods from.
